Maynard “Gabby” Weiss Legacy

Marcusen Park Outdoor Hitting Facility

Mission: It was “Gabby’s” wish that we create a namesake project at Marcusen Park. We have chosen to raise money for a new state of the art batting cage.

Description:

Dimensions – 14’ High – 16’ Wide – 70’ Long

Concrete Base with Turf Covering

Tension Designed Cage System

This new cage allows a flood friendly, maintenance free hitting facility. It will also allow us to relocate our current batting cage to the 1st base side of Marcusen Park

to allow visiting teams their own pre-game batting cage.

We are asking for donations from players, parents, and coaches who participated in the Austin All-Stars program, or past and current town ball players to please help with this legacy project.

Marcusen Park Baseball Association is a 501c3 Non-Profit with all donations being tax-free. All donations will be noted on the Marcusen Park website and will also be noted on a “Gabby” Legacy Project Board at the park.

Suggested Donation: Get a hit for Gabby’s Legacy

1B - $25, 2B - $50, 3B - $75, HR - $100, Grand Slam - $200

Note: Any donation of $300 and above will be considered a Special Fan of Marcusen Park.

How to Donate: Donations can be made via the “Gabby” Weiss GO-FUND ME Page on Facebook, or checks can be written out to the M.P.B.A. and mailed to Marcusen Park Baseball Association P.O. Box #903 Austin, MN 55912.
